About HAG

Welcome to the HAG (Host Artists’ Group) website. HAG are an artists’ group based in Sheffield, UK with an interest in curating and producing art in alternative spaces. Recent projects have included Slow Wave Sleep, an exhibition of installation work in a domestic space, Sounds Recorded for an Empty Nightclub, an open-submission performance of sound work, and Cinema, a screening project premiered at The Showroom Cinema, and subsequently shown in venues across the UK and Europe. HAG’s most recent project, Beauty, was commissioned by SCAF for the Sheffield Pavilion 2007 publication, and was launched at the Venice Biennale and Documenta XII.

Host 9: Otherliness will be presented as a looped playback at the Vane Gallery, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne as part of The Late Shows on the 16th May 2009.

was commissioned by Sheffield Contemporary Art Forum for Yes / No / Other Options* and was exhibited at Sheffield's Millennium Galleries and Bloc Space during Spring 2008.

was premiered in Sheffield in August 2007 and is now touring.

was premiered in the Sheffield Pavilion 2007 at the Venice Biennale and at Documenta in Summer 2007.
